A storefront for perfume decants — small pours from authentic full-size bottles. The interesting problem is provenance: a customer buying a 5 ml decant has no way to know what it was poured from, so the whole thing is built to make that checkable.
Stock is modelled as bulk bottles, each with a batch number, supplier and remaining volume. Decanting one creates a batch linked to both the source bottle and the product sold, so any decant on the site traces back to the exact bottle it came from. On top of that sits a REST API, a cart and checkout flow, order snapshots that preserve pricing and shipping as they were at purchase time, and an operator dashboard alongside the Django admin.
